In T. Coraghessan Boyle's brief story " Greasy Lake, ” the literary devices applied will be rising action and orgasm. The many accounts of growing action and climax business lead the reader for the plot. This kind of story is about three " bad boys” that are required to mature as a result of many situations they come across in one night. At the beginning of this kind of story these three boys want to be viewed as " awful characters, ” however , at the conclusion of the story, the kids find out what promoted means to always be " negative. ” When the girls explain they look like bad persona, they no longer feel this can be a go with. They have merely endured a sequence of distressing events that being negative is not really what they expected it to become. Digby, Jeff, and the narrator are operating around area looking for a thing to do. Offered up bare handed. " It was a couple of: 00 A. M.; the bars were closing. There was clearly nothing to carry out but take a bottle of lemon-flavored gin up to Fried Lake” (77).
